Good to know

Questions, answered plainly.

Do you upload or store my images?

No. The AI model runs inside your browser and the image stays on your device. ClearCut does not receive or store the image you process.

Why can the first image take longer?

Your browser downloads about 140 MB of open model files on the first run and caches them locally. Later images usually start much faster. Best Detail uses a larger edge pass, then removes weak remote mask fragments and background haze.

Which image formats work?

ClearCut accepts JPG, PNG, and WebP files up to 20 MB and 40 megapixels. It exports a full-resolution PNG with transparency or your chosen solid background.

What should I do if an edge is missed?

Open Refine edges after processing. Erase removes leftover background; Restore paints the original image pixels back into areas the model removed by mistake.

Which browser should I use?

A recent version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari works best. Desktop browsers usually process large images faster because they have more memory available.
